brilliant lights, cant be daisy chained. Love the cool touch on live tree. Never felt need to turn them off or have a fire. Each string needs to go to the wall though, requiring 9 power inputs be present for my 10 foot tree. 8 light strings and 1 topper. You’ll need a new topper if yours is old, amber light style. White light (bordering on blue) plus yellow doesnt look too good. Overall, I am pleased since these were pretty cheap, but the lack of chainability would make me not buy these if i had it to do over.
One unnecessary feature ruins the product. They look kind of cheap before you turn them on, but they do look much nicer lit. The real problem is that they have several different “flash” settings, which is one of the most poorly designed features I’ve ever encountered. It has about 8 settings and every time you turn these on you have to flip through all of the setting to find the one you want (NO IT DOESN’T START ON THE LAST SETTING IT WAS On). What’s worse is that there is no indication of which setting you’re on until the effect comes about. That means you have to switch to one, then wait and watch to see if it’s the one you want, then proceed to next. These really would’ve been a lot better had you been able to switch these on to the desired level without inducing a seizure staring at the damn flashing lights. I probably would’ve given these at least 4 stars had they not had any type of setting adjustments at all and just been constantly on. It’s one completely unnecessary feature that pretty much ruins the product.
White LED String Lights I’m very happy with these lights. I bought them to use as decorations for my outside wedding reception, which hasn’t happened yet, but we put them up in my future in-laws’ backyard for an evening BBQ and they were really pretty. The light is bright, cool (not yellow-ish) white. The only drawback is you can’t chain them, which might be more of a issue if using to decorate a tree.
