Abort, abort!! Wow, where do I begin. This thing was so flimsy and poorly made it was comical. For starters, It tore as we were putting it together. The stitching just gave way on one of the leg pieces and we had to MacGyver it w/ duct tape. Once we got this pile of junk together, things really started to go wrong. A pretty mild breeze started to pick up (12-17 mph), and the gazebo just fell to pieces. It has one of those center hub things that all the roof poles go into. For some bizarre reason they didn’t putting retaining clips on that end of the poles (but they had them on the other end, go figure) and as the tent swayed from the light breeze, it moved enough to slide the poles out of the center hub. The gazebo fell apart from the inside out. The legs are so cheap they can do nothing to resist the wind, they bend at the slightest breeze. So after 30 min of standing (sort of), our canopy was laid to waste in the mountains of colorful Colorado. It was so torn and susceptible to the wind, it was pointless to put it back up. As a consolation, we brought a lot of humor into the lives of all our fellow Phish festival attendees. Honestly, if you are going to use it once and you are positive there will be NO wind, you can’t beat this thing for the price. I can assure you though, if there is to be any wind, it is best to pony up the extra dough. Do not expect it to be able to be used a second time. I’m pretty sure those 5 star reviews are fake. This thing is a piece.
It did what I needed it to do…add shade. Recently purchased this item because it was cheap and I needed something to add shade. The package arrived within the time frame provided by the seller. Which was a plus. The material used for the poles could have been thicker and of better quality. A few of the poles had notches in them that were missing the latching device. There were chips or cuts into the poles. The pro – as long as the gazebo was tethered it was able to withstand winds.
Disappointed Well we were finally able to get this item assembled. We are disappointed that the only part of this item that is 10 x 10 is from the absolute bottom of legs. Yet this is what yet get for the money spent and will not get any more of this type of product again. So I would hope that others whom are looking for something true to size advertised ya need to look else where. For the coverage this item will give you is nothing more then 4 folding chairs to 6? for a comfortable fit and maybe a small table in center. When assembling this canopy it is best to have a roll of tape handy as the poles that are on legs and top canopy just slide together with nothing to hold them in place. So I got smart and we taped each pole that had no springs, or clips to help them stay in place. The only part of the frame that had springs or clips was the wrap around frame.
