Subtle and Smooth Color Transitions I have no idea what the difference is between this and . They look the same in the picture to me and the video review of the one ending in 2063rgb looks just like this one, 2070, which I own.As reviewers of the 2063rgb have mentioned, when you first plug it in, they all cycle through the same colors in sync with each other. Leave it on for a few minutes and eventually each light does it’s own thing. You don’t get to pick the color or the timing. The transitions are very smooth, subtle and gradual. You don’t realize it but a light that was blue a second ago is now another color and in a few seconds it will be yet another. It’s pretty and soothing. Definitely NOT twinkling, sparkling, blinking, exciting or annoying. The transitions are smooth enough that you could use it as a night light and not feel like your at a dance club.I see where to plug in another to link them up on the end of the strand. You can see it in some of the product pictures. I’m assuming it’s just an electrical pass through and you can plug in any other Christmas light or low power electrical device. It’s the typical connector at the end of most Christmas lights strands. Considering that each bulb is independent when it comes to color changing, I don’t expect linking a few together to give me any kind of synchronized light show.So far it’s been on for a few days non stop with no issue. I’ll be buying another strand. It seems higher quality construction than other cheap Christmas lights I own but it’s still cheap stuff. There is no controller or programmable chase pattern. This is not professional architectural or programmable lighting so don’t expect it. I’m pretty sure I saw similar lights elsewhere on this site with a controller if that’s important to you. Looks nice intertwined with other lights in a tree. If these will be the only lights in your holiday tree consider two or three strands or get a 100 light / 50 foot strand of regular non-color changing lights from your super market for $4 and use this to supplement.
Beautiful As other reviewers have said, you can’t control the lights. But they are really beautiful. Whoever programmed their fixed program did an elegant job. Slow, subtle, and the colors are not just primary RGB – they are apparently random but somehow harmonious.
Plugged in the light string to see how they looked, the whole string stopped working after 5 mins. I tried to revive them with the supplied replacement fuses to no avail. Returned them to Amazon for full refund with no hassle.
