Temperature Measurement:
1. Insert the probe steel part into the meat (be careful that the plastic case won’t touch hot surface).
2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on.
3. Select from the Celsius or Fahrenheit options.
4. Wait for temperature acquirement and press the hold button.
5. Remove the probe from meat.
6. Press the ON/OFF button to turn off and conserve battery life.
7. Rinse Probe carefully in hot water.

Dump your digital time and buy one of these! I purchased this after wasting more money than I care to admit on a variety of digital timers. All of the digital timers I used were clearly not ready for primetime and either required an engineering degree to operate or a ready supply of probe cords to replace the one’s which frequently stopped working for a variety of reasons, some known, others unknown. Works well for my confections. I bought this for making fudge, so my requirements were that it needed to measure pretty close to the tip (mixture only about 1″ deep in my pot), be accurate around 230-240 degrees Fahrenheit, and respond fairly quickly.
