And author Nina Greene gives her readers quite a selection. I feel like I have taken a garden trip around the world and back into nostalgia. My mother and grandmother, both avid gardeners, gifted me the experience of several of the gardens presented by the author, including a rock garden, a vegetable garden, an herb garden, and a melange of blossoms throughout the spring, summer and fall, along with memories of a cut crystal vase set in the midst of a dark mahogany dining room table filled with bright, freshly cut aromatic flowers. It’s a wonder the butterflies didn’t follow them inside. Very well put together book. The illustrations were well chosen and the text easy to follow. Excellent book.
