This one works!! I have tried a lot of heaters/ de-icers, including trough heaters. All were similar in wattage. Most did not work well or were unreliable. I have used this one for the last 2 winters and not only did it work great, it kept a wide area open except in very cold with high wind. Even then it kept the immediate area open. Their guide was very helpful, I bought the wattage they suggested for my zone (N. IL). I am buying another one now as a back-up, in case I can’t find it later. I use it with a thermo cube to cut down on unnecessary running.
K & H Deluxe Pond Heater We have a small garden pond which we like to keep open in the winter so that birds and wildlife will have a place to drink. Since we installed our new pond heater we have had weeks of sub-freezing weather and one heavy snowstorm. The pond is staying open and we are very pleased with the performance of the heater.
