Weak Light but you get what you pay for… Purchased 8 of these Led Solar “SPOT LIGHTS”. I have had 3 White-Led Solar Spot Lights that I bought for ten bucks a piece at a Wal-Mart years ago, several of them still work and are quite bright. I made the mistake of thinking these were just as bright and white. The solar panel is smaller, the housing is smaller, the light is weaker and bluish in color so they are definitely not the same. For a price similar to what I paid a couple of years ago I don’t see this being a “Good Deal”. I suggest to pay a little more and get better quality lights. I use these to merely light up some trees and brick around my house, that is all, and I do not for see them lasting longer than a month. That being said; they shipped quickly, they were packaged well enough, and they all do work.
Ineffective for winter use This spotlight does not work in winter sunlight. Do not waste your money if you live in a northern area and plan to use it in the winter. I am only keeping it in case it works in the summer with extended sunlight time. I bought it to use with my small nativity scene. Even less than 2 feet away, it does not help at all. Very disappointing.
NOT a spot light I wanted a solar light that would project direct light onto the wreath on my front door; however, this “spot light” emits fewer lumens that your average flash light. It’s really more of a path light (although an unattractive path light) and doesn’t project light farther than a foot away. It charges very well, even in partially cloudy weather conditions. It comes on in the evening like clockwork but it only stays lit for a couple hours. I was better off with my electric spotlight.
