Very well made and fits the bill exactly. I bought this to replace the latch on my backyard gate. The latch that was in place was so close to the wall you couldn’t get a lock in there. This thing is great because once it’s installed you can’t uninstall it without unlocking it. It’s made from a very sturdy high quality plastic and once locked it stays very firm in place. I would highly recommend this product. It took me about 15 minutes to install it and that included removing the old latch.
Lockage Gate Latch This is the perfect lock for installations that don’t have enough room for the old fashioned and cheaper gate latch (where you can use an external combination lock, for example.) The key lock is adequate, although not the same quality as a standard door lock. However, anything more is probably not required, after all it is outside and most gates could be scaled if someone was really bent on entering your yard.The reason for only four stars and not five is the quality of the screws provided with the lock. The 1 inch or so screws provided did not seem adequate to me, so I bought some stainless steel 2 1/2 inch screws for my installation.
Well made. Be carefull how you install so you don’t lock yourself behind lock! This latch is made of durable plastic & metal. The keys are cheap but I didn’t really need them. I wish I had seen this coming but if I had installed a little higher I wouldn’t get locked behind my fence! Think carefully where you place this latch!
