WHAT A DOWNER! After 2 months of waiting (back order) for this bench that i loved the look of it so much it finally came. The bench looked absolutely stunning and i wished i had ordered a larger one because the 4′ seemed too small. This morning…after having had this bench for only TWO WEEKS..I noticed it had several FRACTURES and CRACKS. When i put it together it was fine, two weeks exposed to any type of weather should not result in this. If you think your getting quality think again. my bench is now nothing but art in my garden…not for sitting but only for looking at. Still debating on the hassle of returning it.
Terrible quality for outdoors I am a landscape designer so I spec outdoor benches all the time. This one would do fine inside or protected but we had it outside in my personal garden for less than 2 months (only 2 rains in that time) and it already has cracks in the paint and will surely get worse. I am in the process of returning to Amazon – they ‘made a one time exception.’- That is also a load bc a product like a bench should not be disposable or need replacing every few months. Basically they should not sell this product for outdoor use. I even had to ship it back bc of their return policy. What a waste of time, fuel and energy. That’s what email and photos are for. Environmentally this will leave a larger than necessary foot print bc of the fuel to ship it here and back as well as now instead of being used, it will go in a dumpster somewhere at amazon. Do not buy it.
Cute bench – but came damaged I was very excited to receive this bench, but was disappointed when it arrived damaged.The bench is every bit as cute as I had hoped, but we had to hire a repairman to fix 2 of the rungs in order to assemble the bench properly. One rung was completely stripped, and the another had the peg broken off. We debated sending it back, but that would have been it’s own hassle shipping it back. Instead, we decided to hire a repair person who was able to put about an hour of work into it and made it look as good as new with some wood glue, paint and TLC. But it was a bit more hassle than I would have liked to have seen from a brand new product.
