The only issue I have with this is that it can only be an inswing. Or at least that is what it says. I mounted it as an outswing and it seems to work. I had to use different hinges, but that was all. The instructions don’t tell you the correct way to put the cable clip on (never saddle a dead horse) and they need to include a thimble with the cable clip. In general a good product.
I have a 62 inch opening off my deck that I needed to install a swing gate to retain my dog. One side of the opening is the house; the other is a 6×6 vertical post. The adjust-a-gate installed on the 6×6 post with ease and swings effortlessly. This is a engineering marvel. I was looking at doing the gate in wood but the stress on the hinges would have been too much for the length. I even thought of putting a caster on the bottom of the gate to help with the weight. I decided to go with the adjust-a-gate instead and it’s worth every penny. Easy to install – just make sure you have the right sized drill bit. I finished mine with vertical spindles (1/2″ x 1″) and installed a cross beam to cover the wire (I used a wood router to carve out for the turnbuckle and clamp). I will be ordering two more for my dog pen.
