Expensive but worth it. I ordered these lights for holiday decoration on the outside. What I like is that these units only use 23 watts when other conventional lights use 100 watts. So you can hook up 4 lights for the same wattage use of 1. This helped my light up the house etc as well as accents. I used single can lights on shrubbery / evergreens and trees. By Shining the light up you create a wonderful effect on trees especially after the leaves have fallen off. Also by suspending the lights up in a tree and shining them down you get a beautiful color effect on the snow. The bulbs lasted being on 8 hours a night for over 45 straight nights. They will be up a week or so longer. The only issue I have is that these lights are NOT instant on and they take a full 90 seconds to get full lumens. I hope that this helps you with your decision – I bought the red and green lights.
Great price and fairly bright. Takes about 30-60 seconds to come up to full brightness. I bought 2 to light a tree in my front yard as part of my Christmas decorations. It did a reasonable job but really I needed a bit more oomph for the effect I wanted. I’m going to try them again this summer in the back yard when the trees are in leaf – I think it will look great.
I am using both red and green versions of this light in a Christmas lighting scheme. I found the green ones to be very bright, much brighter than the red ones. To balance the color brightness, use twice as many red lights as green ones.
