Great Fountain This fountain is a great deal for the price. It is really pretty at night and the only problem is that the holes in the spray nozzle clog easily if your pond water is not clean. To prevent clogging, I enclosed the pump in a pump sock (mash bag that is lined it with foam rubber). I added a few stones for ballast and also anchored the entire fountain so it would stay in the center of the pond. I have over three years operating experience with this fountain and would definitely purchase it again!
Not good for a pool. This item might be fine for a murky pond but not good for a swimming pool. I knew this product had to be plugged in but the manufacturer wasn’t smart enough to combine the power cord for the pump and the power cord for the LED lights. So when it’s going in the pool you can see a real thick power cord for the pump and another for the lights going out the side of the pool across the patio. Also, in the provided picture on the product page you can not see the pump. They weren’t smart enough to make the pump inside the floating disk – it hangs down about a foot below the disk. It looks as though someone went to Home Depot, bought a pond pump and connected it with a tube and some automobile hose clamps to the floating disk. So, if you are using this product in a murky pond – all of what I’ve written is irrelevant.
