Expansion gate This gate is easy to assemble. It does what it’s supposed to do. Keep my dog from going in the basement. I have a small dog about 20 pounds so not sure how the gate would work for a larger dogs or toddlers. Honestly, may be a bit flimsy for a German Shepard or rambunctious toddlers. Nevertheless, it works for us. I recommend with reservations.
Actually I should say “love them” because I have three. We got the first one to keep ours dogs out of certain rooms. My husband and I installed that one. I liked it so much I decided to go with the same gate when it turned out I needed two more. I installed them by myself. I like the fact that they’re wood so they tend to go better with my wood floors, no more glaring, white plastic gates. The thing I like the best is being able to open them without completely removing them and being able to swing them out of the way when I want to open the rooms up. I have 6 dogs so believe me when I say they have “stood the test”. I would highly recommend this product.
