Great Little Pump for the Value At first I thought this pump would push water, vertically, for a few inches, but to my surprise the pump did remarkably better. In order to get the vertical height I wanted, I did attach clear tubing (available at any discount store)and was able to achieve the water fountain that I was wanting. The solar panel does need the occasional cleaning but otherwise I have had no problem with the pump or the panel.
Surprised me… I waited to write a review. The pump itself is so tiny I doubted it had an capacity to pump water. (Be sure to consider this when buying – its cm’s not inches – the company makes lots of sizes.) When I first put it in my outdoor pot, it “chugged” with a little spurt once in a while. But the day wasn’t the brightest. One day, with full sun, I was stunned to see a gush of water streaming a foot in the air. Its actually amazing! I give it four stars as a caution to people who are used to electric pumps or solar lights with batteries: it must have full sun to work well. If you live in an area that’s often cloudy or rainy like I do, there will be days when your little pump won’t work.
Picture shown is almost actual size Looking at all of the specs, size was not one of the features I could find. It is very small and under powered. Did not come with usb device but I was not sure why you would need such an item with an outdoor solar pump. In full sun, I am able to get water to flow but never at a high enough rate to power sprayers that were included. Hooked directly to AC unit and flow rate did not ever reach desired spray. Kept flinching away for fear of getting soaked – no such luck.
