The small solar powered pump works as advertised when the sun is in direct alignment and the battery pack has delivered an additional 4-5 hours of operation each day so far.Don’t expect this little guy to deliver anything other than a gentle sound of trickling water, but that is exactly what we were looking for with our small garden pond. The solar panel comes with enough electrical cord to place the unit in the best spot possible. No regrets so far.
I have not had the chance to connect the pump up yet due to the weather , but thought I would say I only gave the product review 2 stars as I am disappointed in the sealed battery pack . The only way the batteries can be charged is directly through the solar panel. The batteries are sealed into pack with a plug , plugged into the pc board that controls the 3 function switch and the charging rate.If I had known this , I would have looked for a back-up battery pack such as rechargeable ( AA ) batteries that I could charge myself on a home charger . This pump is very small and I have my doubtsthat it will be able to pump 18 to 20 inches high but will give it a try later when I can put it outside. If anyone has purchased this pump and found a good way to charge the batteries with a home charger other than just the solar panel or if someone is looking at buying this pump and you need some questions answered , please feel free to e-mail me at : bronzemaster31@hotmail.com As far as a set-up manual coming with this product, forget it , it comes with a piece of paper that does not say much and pictures to show you what it does in case someone forgets what a water pump does .
