Returned because it was shorter than as described I think the plant is very pretty and the base of it is nice and heavy. I believe it would be a nice addition to my aquarium if I wasn’t searching for something taller. This is 7 in. at most. It is not a huge difference but I was already wishing it was a bit taller than 8.3 to begin with so was disappointed when it was even shorter than described. If you aren’t concerned about height I would recommend it, as it is attractive. You may also want to note that the purple petals are quite hard. If you are concerned about any delicate fish rubbing on it you may want to reconsider this one.
oooh I had misgivings about this one…i thought it was going to be too loud…it’s not. it’s really pretty for what it is…had to modify this one for the betta too.Update 6/23/13:My apologies to the reviewer who found my Initial review helpful…I just did I water change and noticed that the base of the plant had rust as well as the tips inside the cupped leaves…I was sadly disappointed. Now it sits on my kitchen counter lol Each plant looks the same but different and hopefully yours will have a better coating. So far the other plants I purchased from this company show no signs of rust.
The Good: these are pretty, and the purple petals are attached to wire, which allows you to bend those stems to suit your taste. The Bad: those wire stems are dangerously badly finished. Sharp wire ends protrude amongst the purple petals — clearly just bare wire snipped off and left bare. I bought four of these plants and they’re all the same. The Ugly: I don’t even want to think about my fish swimming around a bunch of metal spikes. Do you?
