Things have changed I ordered two of these racks about two months ago. They were pretty nice with the Landman logo screened on the end rails and on the cover. The rails were a nice quality black finish. This prompted me to order two more and took delivery on them about three weeks ago. Totally different rack. The bottom rails were rusting through the incredibly thin, flat finish, no logo on the rails or the covers. The covers were a poorer grade than the first two I received to the point that one of them ripped up…
The good and the bad. Despite Lowes’ website’s claim of having this product available by the end of October, it did not come to pass and the local store informed me that is was on backorder from the manufacturer until December! I came here, found this, ordered it and before the week was out, we received it. Nothing fancy but sturdy (on concrete) and I was happy. Good enough for the price If you are looking for an inexpensive fire-wood-stacking solution, this is it. The rack is made up of hollow metal tubes, screwed together. The height off of the ground is very good, though the only contact with the ground is 6 small feet (see picture). So, if you intend on putting this on ANYTHING other than a concrete slab, you will need to set this on wide bricks or pressure treated wood to keep it stable.
