10 WATT LED WP FLOODLIGHT- WOW! 🙂 WELL, the fixture arrived today and I must tell you , I was taken back by it’s very small 3″H x 4.5″W x 2.75″D size, talk about small, kinda like a “Mighty Mouse thing”!! 🙂 Any way, I mounted it to light up my “Stars & Stripes” at night for a 24/7 display. Yup, it does the job and then some, a very bright white light, 10 watts of power consumption lights up my 6′ x 10′ flag on a 30 ft pole 110%. The quality is in par with the fixture cost and $$ value. I am very pleased with it and plan to purchase around 10 more for lighting up my landscape shrubs, grass and trees. Do the math folks, that would be lighting up my entire yard, front & back with 100 watts and mean, “LIT-UP”. It is a true flood light with a 125 plus degrees of spread but remember that will vary based on distance from objects being high lighted etc… Now the question is, how long will they really last??? You know what I mean, that is if you have ever used CFL’s with all the hype of long life (5-10 years++), most do not last much more than a year, where is the TRUTH in advertising anyway??. I plan to up date my review and let you all know how well they do!!In addition, LEDwholesalers are very fast shippers, I ordered it July 25th and had them in hand on July 27th and installed same day to boot, how bout that!My only gripe or “CON” would be: “Made In China!” What is wrong with this US of A, we should be manufacturing these here, what the heck, “OVER?” I did the search and couldn’t find anything even close Made here in the USA!!V/RKent M WhitneyMaster Chief, USN RetiredSept. 4, 2011: Add-on to my above comments. I purchased 10 more of these great little guys and plan to install very soon. They are exactly what I needed for my outdoor landscape lighting. I purchased the 10 fixtures from the same folks, LEDwholesalers and they are still faster than greased lightning and continue to be the best $$ cost out there! I will add to this posting after I install these little LED’s and maybe add a few pictures too! R/KMW
LED Critic I purchased this light with the intent to use this to replace my 100 watt (energy pig) halogen light. I knew before buying that the LED was not as bright and would be a white light vs. the orange colored halogen. I must say, for the 10 watt vs. 100 watt I am quite impressed. Yes the lumens are less however, the brightness and the spread of the light are more han enough to light up my driveway. These are a good replacement for those energy cravng small halogen lights.
