Worked as advertised These bulbs provided clear, consistent warm light. Much less harsh than “warm” fluorescents.I was concerned that the cheaper LED bulbs have problems but these work well. I bought a batch of 6, none have issues and all dissipate much less power than the halogens they replaced. The old halogens needed a cool-off period after being on for a while in order to get replaced, these certainly do not. Light output is about the same as the 50w halogen that was replaced.
They claim it is a 50W replacement, but it is not. I returned this item – I had bought 5 of these bulbs to replace 5 Hlogen bulbs (50W each) in my kitchen. I had two problems with this product:1) They were most definitely not bright enough to replace 50W bulbs.2) The color was not even close to the color of halogen, and gave the kitchen an almost sick pallor.Also a warning: When I returned this item, about $10 was deducted from my return amount by the merchant, as a charge for return shipping. I felt cheated. I have taken an extra star away for that reason.
Not Standard Sizing Despite the description, the diameter of the base for this bulb is wider than the typical GU10 bulbs.I ordered several different brands of LED GU10 bulbs at the same time, all indicating that they were standard sizes. However, only this bulb would not go into the fixture because the base was just a few millimeters wider than a typical GU10 bulb.Be sure to fit this bulb into your fixture when you receive it to make sure it fits into yours.Amazon was very nice and allowed me to return it even though it was past the return window. From now on I’m testing all my bulbs when received!
