The brightest solar light!!! I bought these to light up a sidewalk area that is difficult to light electrically, so I tried these. OMG, they are super bright and a breeze to install. Thinking about purchasing more and turning off some of the outside lights that use electric.
great lights need better batteries. I bought two of these lights, Moonrays 91851 18-Lumen Wall Mount Solar Powered Deck Sconce, Bronze, and mounted them in full sun on my fence. They are nice and bright, but the batteries only lasted for 2 hours. I switched the Moonrays 1000mAh rechargeables with my own Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables rated at 1900mAh and they lasted over 6 hours! I just purchased the Sanyo XX Battery Powered by eneloop, 2500mAh typical / 2400 mAh minimum High Capacity, 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, and I expect they will last all night. They are made to withstand frozen temps, so they will be good for the outdoor solar applications. The overall cost of the Moonrays increases by about 10 bucks, but that’s still only 30 bucks each for lights that shine nicely all night. They are quality lights, and with the higher rated batteries, they are perfect for me.PS I did the same with Moonrays 95028 Mini Deck Light, Rectangle, which come with one AA battery rated at only 600mAh. I expect the same great results changing to higher rated batteries as I had with the Deck Sconces. I have four of these Deck Lights and, while not as large, are fairly bright covering a smaller area. Very nice accents around the house and yard.PPS I have to thank another reviewer for the idea of changing the batteries. Of course I can’t find his review now, but he talked about the increase in efficiency, so I tried it. If you see another review talking about this, it was probably written before mine.
