Color Temperature
Color temperature is a measure of the light bulb’s color when illuminated, and is measured in degrees Kelvin. The higher the number, the whiter, and then bluer, or cooler. The lower the number, the more yellow, or warmer the color. The whiteness of the light itself creates a mood in the lighted space.
Color is a personal preference. Select a bulb that creates the environment you desire for the application.
Reflector Light Bulbs

Good quality lights These lights are good quality and last forever. The only downside is that they are pricier than the normal type bulbs. The good thing is that they dont contain mercury and are easier to dispose of than the other energy saving bulbs. The only word of caution here is with the plastic housing around this bulb may not allow you to fit into some of the light fittings as I recently discovered.Philips warrants the bulb for six years.
Great light, and decent coverage I have to say that I was a bit nervous about spending $50 on a flood light. I am still hopeful that the lifetime is sufficient to recoup the investment, but I’m very happy with the initial performance. Color is good, the light is comparable to the 100W halogen flood in the other socket, and the area coverage is good (comparable to the halogen). When I was testing it you could really tell the difference in the heat output between the LED and halogen lights just holding your hand a foot in front of it. It is easy to see how these will save a ton of electricity. I’ll be sure to modify the review if anything bad happens, but with 22 years of lifetime advertised it will be a while before I know if it paid off…
