Sturdy, well-made, but COLOR in product images is 1/2 misleading I didn’t actually use them so I can’t review durability or how long they last outside etc., but they seem very sturdy and well made for what you’d expect. They’re not like the flimsy paper lanterns that are gonna rip and tear or fall apart when they get wet; they look/feel like a durable polyester-type water resistant type material, they look just like paper in person but there’s like a fine netting construction that’s pretty cool.BUT I took a risk from the product photos, I only wanted that red/orange/yellow “Mexico” nighttime light, which half the photos are, and not the white/pink/purple “Clown” daytime light, which unfortunately is what they are… during the day AND in the dark, which night of course is a little softer but still a white/purple/birthday party type light, NOTHING like the more mellow nighttime light in 2 of the product images. It reminds me of the old IBM CGA color palettes – I wanted[…]but got[…]ha.Fully aware I’m probably ridiculously more picky than most people but just clarifying for anyone else who’s confused by the product images or cares about this! Going to see if I can find the right colors and exchange…
I ordered 4 of these for an upcoming party. I paid for expedited shipping only to find out that two of the light sets don’t work! What sort of cr@p is this?? 50% failure rate? I now have to dig out my Christmas light tester and start troubleshooting this junk so I have some working lights for the party. The sets that light are very nice and I think the nylon globes will hold up. So here’s my advice – if you like these lights, either order twice what you need and plan to return half, or buy it weeks in advance and plan to spend an evening fixing them.Grrrrrr….
