We were attracted to the looks of this fan – it is a nice design for an outdoor location (on our patio). We have $100 Emerson ProSeries CF712 fans in every room of our Arizona house – and they are excellent. So we splurged for this $300 Emerson TB311., BIG MISTAKE! Here’s the problem – this fan’s specification is 4474 cfm. That’s about 20% less than our individual room fans in the house. This difference means you cannot feel ANY air moving from the patio fan when you are sitting down underneath it. When standing, you might occasionally feel a wafting of air on your face. This is at full speed – and it’s not the season reversal switch in the wrong position. So, we have a nice looking $300 useless fan on the patio. Pay attention to the cfm – don’t go less than 5500 cfm if you want to feel the air moving
