Sleek, modern, weather resistant The lamp is beautiful, well built. It is perfect to illuminate a specific spot. In my case I placed it on top of my 2-digit home’s number, it looks fantastic and goes well with the modern architecture of the house. It keeps a low dim light all night that is made brighter only if movement is detected.
If only… This would be a great product IF the brighter setting were actually sound/motion sensitive. As it is, I have to put my thumb over the sensor to trigger the brighter setting, which then dims after less than a minute. Not very practical. I AM pleased with how bright the higher setting is–a couple of these would nicely illuminate an outdoor hangout IF they would stay on.
For one year now, this small, sleek light has cast a low beam all night even during mid-winter, and just enough to see your way around from 10-20 ft. The motion detection seems a bit spotty but I wasn’t interested in that feature to begin with (what I wanted was the sound sensor). It’s mounted about an arm’s length above the back door. Snap your fingers near the light and you get a bright high beam long-enough to unlock the door. The sound sensor only works at close range so the light is unaffected by neighborhood noises.
