Great Product It comes on at night and off at dawn. Using a regular bulb. Amazon wants 20 words. They need to buzz off. I have 3 photo cells outside. You need to use the ones that are made for CFL bulbs if that`s your plan. The one out front {Woods}faces the sun in the morning and is not in a glass fixture. The ones in a glass fixture have the eye mounted outside on top. The glass will cause it to malfunction. They also come with shunts in different lengths. The one out back is under an eave so it comes on earlier and goes off later. The white sockets have always burned out within a week. Remember-if you get a glass mounted fixture/sensor it it hard wired. And expensive to replace. Update-the other sensors failed. Out of ten sensors found only 2 that worked. This one and one Westek.
Perfect for quick security This is just what I was looking for to use outside. It took less than five minutes to insert into the outside light. Comes on at dusk and off at dawn.
