Pump is OK. This pump is OK. Actually it is too good for its price. I recommend it. Just remember, it is NOT 12V and not submersible.
draw too much current I used 5 pack 1.2V rechargeable battery to power the pump. These battery is rated as 1000mAH capacity. These battery only got the pump running about 15 minutes, the same battery can power my fish tank bubble stone for 4.5 hours! After test with digital multimeter, I found out why, the little pump is a power hog:at 6V, the pump draw 0.84 A current.at 4.2V, the pump draw 0.52 A current. In another words, with such high current, the pump degenerate my 1000mAH battery (normal operation current around 250mA) to merely 200mAH at 840 mA.
Small pump After I bought this little pump I found out that its performance is excellent and I am thinking to build an artificial miniature river on my model train layout, I am sure this pump is going to do a very good job.
