Good so far; get he size you need or a little bit bigger… So far so good; our first pump of another brand only lasted about 1 year of operating (inside a protective bag, kept clear and not run during the winter months). Hope this one lasts a bit longer. Make sure you get all of the fittings and check valve (if needed) first before you start so you’re not scrambling trying to find compatible parts. This is one powerful, dependable pond pump! A great pond pump that is reasonably priced and performs very well. I installed this pond pump (and this is not the first Alpine Water Pump that I have purchased) for a new waterfall feature in our backyard 4,000 gallon pond, that has a 8 foot head height from where the pump would be placed in the pond.
