The GRO Products Vertical GRO System may have a small footprint, yet it will change the way you garden in a big way. The VGS is quick and easy to assemble-it only takes a few minutes. The VGS is constructed right here in the USA with Western Red Cedar, a naturally rot and insect resistant material. The kit includes 3 removable 32-inch-wide planter boxes that can be adjusted on the VGS to accommodate different plant heights. Included with each VG Box are removable, heavy duty plastic liners with interlocking reservoir bottom. These plastic liners provide a barrier between the soil and cedar. And here’s a helpful hint: you can remove the plastic liners and conveniently plant them on your potting table. Cubic foot of soil needed: 2.3. VGS provides 7.99 linear feet by 6 inches wide planting space. All assembly hardware is included. VGS overall measurement is approximately 36″ Wide by 58″ High. A family owned and operated business, GRO Products manufactures all its quality products in the USA. Please click on the Gro link at the top of this page to learn more about Gro Products.

NOTE — buyers need to seal the wood! I just received this product and it looks fairly sturdy. I am reviewing before assembly, because I want others to know that the product description is misleading. The description on the GRO Products web site makes it sound like the wood (cedar) is designed for outdoor use with no treatment needed. HOWEVER on the very last page of the assembly manual it says in large print “We highly suggest sealing your Vertical Gro System.” If I had known in advance that the wood needed to be sealed, I…
It’s OK…. This isn’t the best quality, but served it’s purpose, 3 slats we’re cut too short. But worked ok, I was looking for something to build a vertical garden with an attached raised garden base, rather than build from scratch. The raised garden base (see pic), is also a Gro brand, it’s 2′ x 3′. There is a half inch gap to fill to make it fit, and some support board is needed on the inside. It worked, seems sturdy enough. Will see how it holds up. I wouldn’t pay $200-$300 for this piece, I got…
