Sturdy and pest proof
Lids are too loose. Smells escape and bugs get in. I had one of these before for cat litter. It worked very well because the lids were more snug, and it kept smell in. Apparently the company got too many complaints about lids that were too snug, so they went too far in the opposite direction and made them so loose that they wobble and do not fit correctly. Smells escape as if there was no lid, and if you are storing animal food there is no real protection from bugs. If you put the handle up it’s worse because the lip of the lid sticks so far…
