Nice little pump We have a relatively small outdoor fountain, maybe 5-7 gallon capacity. It runs 24/7 all year round (we live in AZ). The birds love it and the falling water provides a nice white noise in the background. I find that pumps last about 1-1/2 to 2 years under these conditions. Two strikes and it’s out….. I’ve actually purchased two of these exact same pumps from AZ, two years apart. The first would work fine for a week or so, then slow down and trickle to almost nothing. I used it in a deck fountain – the “rise” of the water was approx. 3 feet, and this pump was recommended to handle that and more, but the water pressure from the pump only lasted a few days, and that was with a totally clean fountain and water.
