The actual thermometer works well. I tested this thing pretty extensively before mounting it outside.Let me preface by saying that I wish I had not lost my old thermometer. I moved several times, once across the country, with that old thing. And I accidentally left it behind at my last apartment. Adequate thermometer for our needs We put up this thermometer today, attaching it to the window frame outside our bedroom window so we could check out the morning temperature. It’s easy to install with screws, and pretty easy to view the red line for the temperature reading.
