It has major issues at this time (UPDATED) So far so bad 🙁 I have a lot of Ring cameras and technical expertise…. this camera has been offline more than online… and it has a fantastic wifi signal at its location…. not sure what is going on…. hopefully support can debug remote…. only fix for it is to remove battery and put battery back in… it goes offline (i.e. no live video) every 6 hours…. until I reset the battery…. Iâll update review when/if support can fix…. not sure this version âoneâ was tested very well…
Motion Detection Limited to 10 Feet or Less I bought four battery powered stick up cams and one wired stick up cam. The wired one works great! DO NOT GET THE BATTERY POWERED ONE. The motion detection range on the battery powered one couldnât pick up a full grown African elephant at 15â. I am not exaggerating! Great Camera and Great Customer Service! I recently purchased the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery. During the installation, I broke the camera’s mounting base. I called Ring’s customer service and explained my problem, and “Kevin” said he would get the replacement parts I needed in the mail to me. I told him the broken mounting base was all my fault, and I would be glad to pay for the parts. He said it was not a problem. The parts were under warranty.
