Four Working Modes for Your Needs
1. TEST MODE (Works though the day or at night)
Set-up: Move the knob to the Test position
Function: Checking the light’s sensory function in order to provide you with the sensory range you desire. Auto-on when motion is detected and auto-off 5 seconds after no further motion is detected whether it is DAY or NIGHT.
2. AUTO MODE (Only works at night)
Set-up: Move the knob to the Auto position
Function: If motion is detected, the light will be automatically on for 1, 5 or 10 minutes the light will go off when no further motion has been detected.
3. ON TIME MODE (Works by day or at night)
Set-up: Move the knob to the On-time position
Function: Like standard lights, both in the daytime and night-time, the light will light up when it is switched on and turns off when it is switched off.
4. DUSK TO DAWN MODE (Only works at night)
Set-up: Move the knob to the D2D position.
Function: In this mode, the light automatically lights up at night time and turns off during daylight hours.
**NOTE:
1. Under AUTO MODE, the light will switch to MANUAL MODE after turning off the light for 1-2 seconds. Please do not worry, this is normal.
2. This LED security light is designed to be wall mounted (Vertically Mounted), while being mounted under the eave (Horizontally Mounted) might impact its performance.
3. Working Temperature: -13℉~+104℉（-25℃~+40℃）
4. This waterproof LED security light is protected against low-pressure water jet sprays. However, it cannot be submerged in water.

I was replacing an old motion sensor light that used halogen bulbs and, while it said it had a dusk to dawn setting, it was always on during the day. This light went on fairly easily. The only issue was that the back of the fixture is flush with the wall which meant that the electrical wires had to be wriggled into the wall which took a little bit.
