Brighten Your World
Apply OLS Home Accent Multi-Color Lighting wherever you want extra illumination or a fun pop of color. Whether you install the light strips for safety or aesthetics, you’ll love how the slim design makes the strips extra versatile. The self-adhesive strips are easy to mount almost anywhere–add strips to light up pantries, closets, garage shelves, and bathroom fixtures, or to increase the safety around potential tripping hazards and corners.
Remote Control Operation
The OLS Home Accent Multi-Color Lighting strips are easy to operate thanks to a 24-button remote control. With this handy infrared remote, you’ll get full control of your lighting strips. Power them on and off from a distance, or choose from the wide range of settings and colors to beautifully illuminate your cabinets, book shelves, mantels, bedrooms, and more.
Use the remote to quickly choose from 15 color schemes in shades of red, green, and blue, or select white for a more natural look. Use the dimmer function to select from seven light intensities, or switch between four preset lighting modes to create the ideal atmosphere. Flash mode cycles through each RGB color with auto-timed flashing, and RGB Flash mode causes the lighting to change colors as it rapidly flashes on and off. Fade mode automatically adjusts the LED brightness in your selected color, while All Fade causes all the LEDs to auto fade with a different color for each cycle.
Energy-Efficient, Money-Saving Design
Designed with modern LED technology, OLS Multi-Color Lighting strips are extremely bright, yet incredibly efficient. Compared to conventional incandescent or fluorescent lighting, these light strips use very little energy, potentially saving you money on your utility bills. At non-peak illumination, OLS Multi-Color Lighting strips use a minimum of 1 watt per 2 feet of lighting; at maximum illumination, they use about 10 watts per 2 feet of lighting.
And just as friendly to the environment as they are to your pocketbook, these LEDs have a lifespan of over 50,000 hours, they contain no hazardous materials or mercury, and they emit very little heat.

PPA Omni Lighting Systems Multi-Color Lighting Kit This is a “starter kit” from “Parts, Peripherals & Accessories International” (PPA Int), the computer accessory company.Called a ‘Starter kit’ because it contains a 120v AC to 12v 2amp DC power supply (Label on power supply states input 100-240 volt) & IR control unit with remote but only two one foot sections of multi-color LEDs, nine LEDs per section.Easy to install and you can add more one foot sections or even 5,10 & 20 foot rolls. (available separately)Looks like a maximum limit of 36 feet of LEDs for each 2amp power unit/controller/remote.You can also buy items like a “Y” connector so that you don’t have to run all lights in a straight row. Also available are four pin connectors, 12v extension cords etc.See the whole PPA International product listing on Amazon for prices and details. This kit comes with one male to male connector so you can attach one strip to the other. The strips have female connectors on both ends so that you can either plug in the 12v power cord, or the connector that allows more LED strips. The male pins are very small diameter so be careful not to bend them while handling. The LED strips can be curved to some extent, in case you have use for it, or if the surface you are sticking them to is not perfectly flat.I found these pretty bright on the high setting, but that depends on what other light is in the room I’d say, still I can’t look right at them without discomfort. In a totally dark room, you can read by the white setting and even with some of the lighter colors.Remote is good size (see my photo) and has every control needed to turn on/off, dim, change colors, or make the LEDs do automatic “light show” type things. Flashing, dimming etc.Looking at the specs printed on the power supply I see that it has 12V DC output, also very happy to see that the power supply module was separate from the control unit, using a round plug to attach to the rest of the system.I do believe this will also make a fun addition to our camper… this system uses 1(dim)to 5(bright)watts PER FOOT, so should not be a problem plugged into a 12V-120V power converter, or running directly off of a 12V battery if I make a new plug to attach to battery or cigar lighter socket.Might also explore using some of these strips under the overhang on each step of our stairs to light the stairway to the second floor, even on the dim setting they should be plenty bright enough to do that. Although I would NOT suggest using any of the special “Effects” features on stairs, could cause serious vertigo and a fall.I can see several areas to use this type lighting since it has remote control.Power supply cord is 34 inches longThe cord on one side of the controller is 12 inches with the one on the other side being 12 inches, control box is 2 inches long for a total reach of 2 foot 2 inches, not counting the 34 inch cord from the power supply. One thing to note if it matters to you… the “white” light setting is made with the combo of other colors so it’s not pure white and has a color tint to it when in use. Nothing bad, just that it’s not white white. They do sell a lower cost white LED version that has white LEDs.Also, the small diameter connector pins fit rather loosely so I suggest you wrap a single layer of electrical tape around the outside of plugs when you have them the way you want them.Product is manufactured in China and is being sold by “PPA International”Please see my uploaded photos for more details.
Insanely bright- impressive I have to say I wasn’t expecting the brightness given off by these multi-colored leds. They’re by far the most amazing leds I’ve ever seen – perhaps 10K+ on the MCD scale to use the fancy techno jargon. And the fact that each SMD led is a tri-color meaning you can basically get any hue you desire is equally amazing. And so this starter kit should be perfect for hooking up auxiliary lights to your home, rv, camper etc. The wall-wart (the square black power supply) indicates this kit is DC and so would work in a variety of situations – even your car.Unfortunately, there’s a couple of small but important gripes I have. Firstly the starter kit is woefully inadequate in terms of extension wiring – in fact there’s no extension included! So you can hook up your two strips directly to each other or just use one. There’s no way to separate the strips, so if you were using this kit to mount under kitchen cabinets you’d have to purchase extra wiring before you even begin to wire the first two cabinets. It’s just too little wiring to even call it a starter kit. I’d call it a demo kit.Secondly the remote and receiver are infra-red. So the controller unit has a small tail with a tiny IR receiver on it which you need to point at if you wish to control the lights. Why this kit isn’t RF is mind-blowing. It’s such a poor idea to expect users of this system to mount a little receiver in sight of the remote. Especially given the great remote and all the features on it (many colors, brightness, multiple settings etc), well we definitely lose a star there. So I’m kind of in a pickle – on one hand this system could be perfect for adding accent lighting to your home, on the other there’s just a couple of nagging bits that turns me off.Take into account my negative points before you buy – if you can live with the IR and are willing to buy extra stuff for the kit before you even begin to mount it then this could be a perfect solution for your home accent lighting needs.
