Fantastic for beach use!! I purchased these replacement balls for the Djubi as I read the bands can break. I’m happy to say we have played for countless HOURS on the beach with the original balls and the bands are just fine. I have the replacements on hand, but I can also attest to fact the bands take a beating and hold up fine. (You have to extend the bands on the hook of the Djubi which can wear them out (I imagine). When you play on the beach, you WILL be watched and you WILL have to answer… WHERE DID YOU GET THAT!?!It’s great and anything but boring…we won’t bring a football anymore to the sand…we have this and it’s a great purchase.
Great…according to the kids. I bought the Djubi set and then bought replacement balls just in case the strings broke (based on the reviews), but we did not have any problems. It’s still good to have extras. Kids had a great time and so did the parents.
The rubber loop on the replacement balls easily snap with repeated use. Even if you’re going easy on them. And if you’ve ever scratched up the “racquet” by dropping it on asphalt, the problem gets worse. We had seen this toy several times and thought it was too expensive – so we were thrilled to find it on clearance at a toy store in Canada. The balls started to fail immediately. The replacement balls only lasted a couple of weeks. Too expensive to keep restocking. Too bad because the concept of the toy is great. Every time we played it out in public, kids flocked to it. But not much fun with out the special loop balls.
