I looked at all of the others and liked these the best as they are linkable up to 10 strings (I only use one string though), have a higher color temperature (they look sort of ice blueish white but make a great cool white lighted area enough to read but not like the incadecent globe that used to blind you on the back patio (in fact very pleasant and easy on the eyes), and have a controller box with lots of settings which I found that if I set it to steady on, when I turn the power back on they remain steady on (some other strings do not remember what the last setting is) and I do not want them chasing or fading, just a beautiful steady cool lighted patio with a wonderful look of bluish white leds along the eve edges and inside top patio edge. Very party like yet softly gentle to the eyes. After months of use in the Las Vegas heat and winds, they continue to perform perfectly and have the inherent very low (almost none) power needs and the naturally long life of LEDs (I think these are rated some 200,000 hours). Amazon had them to me in 2 days! As always; thanks to Amazom for excellent service and a fantasic product that exceeds my expectations by the best in the field (LED wholesalers) which I could never have found retail locally. What an advatage to have the diversity of products available from Amazon! I will consider the colored ones for the Xmas tree!
