The Laguna PowerJet 1300 High Performance Fountain/Waterfall Pump Kit contains everything you need to generate powerful water circulation and beautiful water display features. The kit features Laguna’s revolutionary foam cartridge-free pump which now sits inside a cocoon-like cage that is designed to shield out dirt and debris and protects the pump from clogging. With this new design, the days of having to clean and replace foam cartridges are over. As always, the pump motor is unequalled in the pond industry for its ability to generate an astounding amount of water flow reliably and continuously at low energy-efficient costs. This is great news for consumers who are wary of costly hydro bills. You really get great bang for your buck. The Laguna PowerJet 1300 High Performance Fountain/Waterfall Pump Kit also includes other fantastic features, including two separate flow controls, each one allowing you to independently adjust the water flowing to the fountain and waterfall; an outlet for connecting to either a garden hose for backwashing or to a remote filter for additional filtration; and an extendable riser stem that can also be adjusted horizontally. As always, the kit comes with two fountainheads and Universal “Click-fit” hose couplings for fast and easy hose connections.

This is my second one. After going through a few different pumps in my little goldfish pond, I decided to upgrade and get this pump as well as a really nice filter. What a difference! My little goldfish grew and grew to the size of small Koi and this pump kept going and going for years! Nine fish! When I felt the pump was bogged down by sludge, I would pull it up and hose it off, give it a scrub and put it back down to do more pumping. One day it stopped working. It still had power but it wasn’t doing much. I had so much going on that week and I couldn’t afford a new one. I feel so bad because my fish died and it was my fault.I decided recently to start my pond again. Being pretty handy, I decided to see if I could clean up the pump and get it to go. Well, I always knew I could open up the protective plastic bubble that surrounds the pump to keep the large debris from entering. I just never knew that I SHOULD HAVE been doing that every time. The screws that looked so strong and tight, came undone with one turn of the screwdriver and the whole thing sprang open. I feel so so guilty. If I HAD been opening it up all along, my fish would still be alive and I wouldn’t feel so dumb and well…un-handy…very.I didn’t hesitate to reorder the Powerjet 1300. I probably could get a smaller one but it is such a strong, long-lasting pump. I want to do right by my next group of fish. In the long-run, it will probably be worth the price and the price difference of smaller ones.
I built a pond using this pump and have a waterfall and my pond looks great. I have used laguna products before and you can’t go wrong they last for years.
