Does exactly what I wanted – saves a lot of sweeping up wood mess Perfect size for holding 6-8 longs next to a woodstove/fireplace. We used to just make a little stack on the stone hearth. But, that was messy. I wanted something to reduce the mess of bringing wood inside, and this did the trick! I am amazed at how much this reduced the amount of ‘wood dirt’ I have to sweep up daily. So beautiful I bought 2 more! I purchased one of these last year to put out ice and bottles of beer and wine for a party last year. It looked so much nicer than having a cooler out in my kitchen, didn’t leak! I also bought a decorated fireplace log holder at a large chain store for 3x the money just a few days later–but when I brought it home and looked at it–and my black beverage holder (now empty after the party), I took back the costly item and have had the bucket next to my fireplace ever since.
