If you are wondering about the color ⦠… I know I was, but took a gamble and bought it anyway. It is not the turquoise color you see in Amazonâs picture, but somewhere between Seagreen and Forestgreen depending on the time of day. Yes, it is plastic, and does have a tendency to fall in a heavy wind which is why I set the base of mine in wet dirt (not quite mud) to keep it stable. Not for Goldfinches and small birds The rim does not have a place for Goldfinches, Chickadees, and other small birds to grip with their feet, the rim is smooth. I keep a branch in the bath so the birds have something to hold on to. A similar birdbath has holes around the rim. It’s pictured on the left. I Absolutely Love It! I absolutely love my bird bath! It is really cute. Mine matches the color of the bottom of the photograph at the shaft and base. I put it together very quickly and easily.
