I bought these for inside my safe, so that they would automatically turn on when i open the safe door, without having to flip any switches or any additional wires or anything. The magnets are strong, and they stay put on the metal rails inside the safe. I have not tried the sticky pads, but being 3m i assume they would be just fine.My only gripe is the sensitivity isn’t high enough.
