Great backyard/patio addition! This wood burning fireplace was purchased to replace one we had totally worn out! I looked for months to find the same one we had, to no avail. I finally found this one, which is very close to the design of the old one, and the husband had me get two!!! One to put away for future use. The price was to good to pass up. ( less than 90.00, with free shipping ) ! The only modification we made was to drill 3 holes in the bottom for drainage, in case we don’t get it cleaned out before bad…
Second purchase of the pit I just dumped my old fireplace portable pit in the landfill. It lasted near 20 years. We did keep it covered during the winter months as we live in CT. It was outside for twenty years for many years of fires. Make sure you put play sand (or beach) in the bottom so it does not fire up the metal but the sand! This will also add to the stability. I saw a nice add on in another review and that was to add a few holes where the screen and base meet up to make sure the screen does not move when…
