Very bright, very useful, but not very warm light This light is very bright for a battery powered tap light. The timer feature is a nice touch, and the ability to disable it is better still. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that the light has stong bluish tint to it. I don’t mind, but others in my house do.
Great, BRIGHT, portable light THis light is great for my attic. I recently installed an attic ladder and some planking to use my attic for storage space and I didn’t want to hassle with the wiring for an electrical light fixture. Tried quite a few battery operated touch lights and this is BY FAR the brightest light i have come across. Well worth the price, great battery life (using Eneloop Rechargeables). Two of these give me all the light I need!
Bright and the batteries last forever. Pros:-Batteries last a long time due to the LED technology.-The timer helps prevent accidentally running down the batteries.-Because the batteries last a long time, you can conveniently use these in a location without a power outlet.-Bright enough for any small space.-Very easy to install. Stick them up with double-sided foam tape, or hang them from a screw on the provided slot. I also have a few stuck to the inside of a safe, using magnets I glued to the light’s back. These lights weigh but a few ounces each (and that’s mostly the batteries), so don’t require much in the way of hanging hardware.-Tough. I have one in a kitchen cabinet which I have used off and on for 5 years. Sometimes I am not so gentle turning it on, but it hasn’t broken yet.Cons:-Not bright enough to light a room, but then, that’s not what these are for.-Nothing else I can imagine. This is a truly superior product.Notes on installation strategy:These lights are used to best advantage in temporarily illumination of a small space, where other lighting solutions would be impractical or expensive. Examples:-cabinets under counters or otherwise shaded from overhead lighting-interiors of safes (epoxy a few magnets to the back for easy hanging)-small closets or pantriesThe Garrity Touch Lite is a great way to light the inside of a gun safe, money vault, or other metal container. It is vastly superior to all of the manufacturer-provided safe lighting kits I’ve seen. Those kits are typically expensive, require a power cord, and are always on whenever the safe door is open. These touch lights are more flexible, cheaper, and easier to install. Glue a few magnets to the back, and you can stick them to any metal surface.
