Helix External Pumps are ideal for koi ponds, external filters, and low head waterfalls. These durable and efficient pumps utilize continuous duty, weatherproof motors that can be used outdoors without additional protection from weather conditions. The motor is dual voltage as well, and though it ships set for 155V, it can easily be changed for 230V. However, it is recommended that a leaf trap is added to protect the pump from large debris. This pump is not self-priming, and should therefore be used in flooded suction applications or with check valve on the suction line. This super-quiet pump is capable of a flow rate of 5800 gallons per hour. 8 foot power cord is included and pump has three year manufacturer warranty.
