Very Disappointing Poorly constructed (the pipe leading to the upper-level waterfall piece was improperly sealed, resulting in spillage) but visually appealing. Not worth the price.
CUTE, LITTLE POND, but…… I wanted a water fountain for my 10’x 12′ flower garden thatwould serve as a centerpiece.Upon its arrival, the box was damaged and we promptlyopened it to see the damage. The water sprout was broken off,but my husband was able to fix it.It was easy to set up and I liked the fact that it waslightweight–would not break our backs bringing into theshed in the winter. When the fountain was completed finished, I was disapointedwith its size. I expected the first tier of the waterfountain to be deeper. The big “BUT” is that the water fountain spout does not sprayup water very high—even on its highest setting.Because of the low depth of the fountain and the low sprayof the spout, I wished I would have gotten another fountain. With that noted, it does work and it is a nice retreat forfrogs that are around my yard.I could purchase another motor for the spout to provide a higherbubbling of water. Nevertheless, the motor with this pond should have worked better to provide higher spurts of water. Therefore, I really cannot recommend this pond as it is.
Looks? Beautiful. Quality? Not so much… Just received this yesterday and set it up this morning. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed it is that there are no lights with it. The picture certainly shows them – so do the instructions on setting them up on the side of the box (in two separate places) and the instruction booklet you get with it. I’ve even looked at this item on other websites and on all of them it appears as if you get lights with this kit. I guess not – they want you to think you do, but you don’t.Other reviewers were also right – the pump itself is seriously underpowered. It claims to be a 200 gph pump. The instructions say it will push water up to a height of 51 inches. It barely has enough “oomph” to get it to the less-than-twelve inches needed for the kit. There is absolutely no way this is a 200 gph pump. There is also a small attachment you put on the bottom of the pump to attach it to the bottom of the pond. There are supposed to be four suction cups you attach to it. I received three. I went through every inch of the packaging looking for the other suction cup (and the lights) and it simply wasn’t there. The only reason it didn’t get one star is that it IS a beautiful pond. We have a friend that is seriously into water ponds and is bringing us some plants to put in it next weekend and I expect I’ll love the way it looks then. With the underpowered pump and the missing lights I can’t recommend anyone buying this – at least not at this price (I found the lights I THINK go with it for sale here for another $50).If they fixed these things it would easily get a four or even five star review.
