Great idea- I added a worm farm I vertical garden is a great idea. I modified this garden by making a large hole in all of the pots in the middle then I inserted a holey pvc pipe down the middle vertically. Into this PVC pipe I put composting red worms and kitchen scraps. Yes, that’s right, I made it into a vertical garden with a worm farm in the middle. Impressive & Super Easy System especially for many Handicapped Folks! For me, being somewhat handicapped, I found the coolest planting system that actually makes gardening fun again! This is the large, Mr. Stacky vertical planter. I put a 1″ PVC pipe down the middle of all the layers, laid a small piece of plastic canvas over the drainage holes in each tray, filled with the hydroponic planting mix of coco coir 75-80% and Perlite 25-30″%, rinsed off the dirt from the babies, and placed them all in their new home. Worth the money but needs a design change. Large and durable plastic. Constructed well. The color is a little off. More orange then brown. But if you don’t plug up the center hole (about 1 1/8″ diameter) much of your soil will just eventually run out the bottom and make a mess. The water holes going from one container to the next are huge (maybe 1/2″) and the water just pours out of them to soak the center of the planter, but it took forever for the water to leach into the outer arms of the container.
