due diligence ahead of time is good! These logs are realistic looking, but make sure they 1)fit your fireplace, and 2) that you have the right kind of burner for them. My set came without a burner, and since we have one I thought they would work. They did NOT. While they can be returned, you pay $$$$ shipping (they are very heavy), and have to pay restocking fee, plus the original shipping if returned, even with amazon prime.
