Love These Classic Looking Lights! We ordered 2 of these Trans Globe Outdoor Lights for our front porch and were pleasantly surprised at how nice they look! They are really nicely made and the price point is fantastic!We thought that since they were inexpensive that they wouldn’t be super nice but would serve our purpose. We were pleasantly wrong about that! They are super dooper nice!
The lantern is small and that is what I wanted. It has an antiqued finish and that is what I wanted. It fits in with the decor of my home and was easy to install.
These were deceivingly small. The picture looks great, but when I got them into my hands, I was surpised how small and chintzy they were. The glass panes are each 4-inches wide. I assume they get the 8 inches from the top of the back round piece to the little nubbins on the bottom. Either way, they had to have fudged the measurements. I bought four of them and hooked up one to see how it would look – the light bulb stuck about an inch out of the bottom… this was a standard 60-watt bulb. The light bulb in the picture looks normal, but after having held one of these in my hands, they must have staged the picture with a night-light style bulb. Also, the bottom is open so it’s not a good light for really cold climates… the bulb would be susceptible to wind and won’t last long.
