Suprisingly Accurately Described I was just looking for some additional lighting to add outside in our yard so when taking the dogs out we don’t have to worry about having anything ready to go (flashlight, does it work? etc.). I thought an added bonus would be if the lights could add some motion sensor functionality and definitely needed solar due to power sources are non-existant where I’d like to intall them.After charging the light yesterday, we temporarily installed it close to where it will be permanently placed because I needed to know the performance level before taking the effort to get it placed there. I was happy to see there is a dim light eluminating the area but when you get up to it, the brightness pops into effect. It disorientated and surprised me in a good way. I think if someone ‘found themselves’ into our yard in the middle of the night, they’d have sun spots distracting them so I can let my dogs out on them.I’m actually so happy with them, I’m purchasing more to add some on the far side of our house too.100% worth the money, time to install!
Wonderful!! As Advertised!!! Date of review May 31, 2012I bought this from another source and I am thoroughly satisfied. I waited about a week before I even opened the package. I was skeptical. I bought a different set of motion sensitive batter operated lights that have “issues.”This light is high quality and beautiful in design. The only area I can see where someone may have a problem is that you have to insert the “key” into the left hole. The words (on/off) are printed on the light. To activate the light you must insert the key into the tiny on hole. To stop the motion from being detected, I assume you insert the key in the off hole.I tried an experiment last night. I left a moldy chicken on the porch in front of the light. This thing kept all the critters away. I am very pleased and want to purchase more of these to use inside! Because of the design you can charge this outside & close the metal overhang in between two cabinet doors. I do not have overhead lights in portions of my old house. Using these lights is a whole lot cheaper than rewiring a house! This light is the brightest light that I have among the lights that are non electric. I’m prepared for the storms this year!!! No more fumbling around in the dark for me and my animals.
