I bought this unit in aug of last year, … I bought this unit in aug of last year, only used it for about two months before winterizing the pond and putting the pump and filter up until about the end of march. When I went to put it back together the pump did not want to work,, after messing with it for a bit it engaged. Each time I have cleaned the filter the pump did not want to work again,, messing with it,, could get it to work until this morning when I noticed the pump was not working again. Great Pump! This is my second Danner/Pondmaster 1200 GPMH I’ve owned and was bought as a backup incase the original stops working. The pump is used for a small 500 – 600 gallon goldfish and koi pond and powers the filter and waterfalls. Because the pump is important to keep the waterfalls running so the water stays oxygenated I deceided to purchase a backup just in case. The original Danner/Pondmaster 1200 GPM has been working nonstop for 4 years without any issues. About once a year I’ll take the pump…
