Intruders are not afraid when its dark, so make light of the situation with Ivation’s motion-activated, light-sensing, solar-powered, wall-mountable, 53-LED flood lamp. Its best feature? It simply works. This floodlight is outfitted with a full solar array that covers its entire upper surface. Rated at 2.2 watts, these panels soak in sunlight like a camel drinking water in the desert sun. A full charge takes just over 6 hours, and that, in turn, replenishes the power pack inside the lamp, which holds enough juice to provide light for 3-4 nights. So no matter the time of year, you’ll never need to replace any batteries.

A Suite of Sensors

For truly automated operation, it makes use of a combination of accurate sensors that act as robotic switches. An ambient light sensor knows to differentiate between cloudy skies and starry nights. It keeps the 53 LED bulbs off during the day, and activates them at dusk on the Dim setting. The motion sensor also comes to life after dark, turning the light to full brightness when detecting movement within 5 meters.

Positioned for Projection

At the back of the Ivation flood lamp you’ll find a built-in bracket with predrilled mounting holes. Use the included screws and anchors to set it up flush with your wall. This gives it the best position for the kind of wide-angle projection you’ll want for your patio or walkway. Have a quick look at the back edge of the solar array, and you’ll find two white position markers for easy pilot hole drilling.
